人真的会变。

especially when we lose the basic element of trust. we start to be very wary of others, and to keep people at arm's length.

especially when you know that you have to keep someone so dear to you out of your circle of trust, in order to be part of that circle. and all you can do is to feel sad about it.

especially when you learnt that that someone whom you hold so dear to you might turns out to be not as simple as you think she is. maybe all along she has been lying to you.

especially when you know this person might not be the nicest person around and she might be doing everything for her own self-interests; but you still want to hold her close to your heart. for after all she has been there when you were at your lowest point and has seen you fall and has also offered a helping hand to pull you up. and it is also this type of person whom has captured your heart and no matter what she has done or will do, you'll always help her and keep a look out for her.

especially when you know he might be lying to you all along but you still choose to believe him no matter what others will say.

i don't know how easily i take to trust a person. but to easily trust someone wholeheartedly, i don't think i can.

it is different working here. you can't trust anyone, but you have to trust everyone. get it? the chinese works on the basis of trust and the more they trust you, the easier things get done. but the more you trust them, the more suspicious things get. this is based on my experience as well as my colleagues' experiences working here. i'm really impressed by the chinese 'cos they can simply lie without batting an eyelid and they are really very good with words which need you to read between the lines. as often as ever, things they say always carry more than what they seem to be. you simply have to find out the hidden meaning in them. but you need to trust them else things dont get moving.

office politics and office gossips are simply hay-wired too. news travel way fast, especially when you have such a small-knit expat society. even the black cars down my block have their own black-car society. we dont even have to say where we are working at where we are heading at this hour, they simply know.

starbucks spotted to open here soon. how true is it??
